12 miler up and down Provo canyon with Zak, Mike, Brandon, and Reed. Temperature was cool, but it felt great. 6 mile warm-up up the canyon. Then, 5-mile tempo on the way down in 5:20 average. Splits:  5:23, 5:21, 5:21, 5:16, 5:18 (uphill). Felt great. All the guys look strong. Fun morning; fun run. I feel lazy only doing this much on a Saturday, but that's the point! :)

Great final push/medium-long run Matt. It's gonna be fun next week. Now we just have the aggravating wait!

Thanks, Riley. Yes, it will be a blast. And I totally agree: the wait is torture!

Funny how 12 miles can feel so short. Perspective is everything!

Nice job resisting another 20 miler. We know how fun those are. Enjoy your taper week.

That was so much fun to run shoulder to shoulder for a bit :). You were looking smooth and effortless today. Next week! Watch out!! There is a lot I want to type in this space but I'll keep it simple by stating the obvious.

You are ready.

It doesn't get any better than knowing you are in the best shape you've been in for a marathon. I hope confidence and excitement gets you through this week and an awesome race next weekend.

Awesome job training for this Marathon Matt. Some killer miles have been put in the bank and some awesome tempos! Enjoy the down time and get ready for battle next Saturday.
