AM:  10 miles from Scott's home with Scott, Chad, Mike, Toni, and Reed. 4 mile warm-up, 2 mile warm-down. Did 3.15 mile tempo at 5:23 average pace. Felt great, even felt I could go faster, but I had some major GI issues brewing. I planned to go 4-5 miles, but by 3.15 miles, I had to make an emergency stop (you all know what I mean). Afterword, I did a 4:53 mile. The last mile was fun -- I enjoyed the kind of hurt that running a mile at that effort brings. I haven't experienced that kind of hurt for awhile. I need more of it.

PM:  5 easy miles on Provo River Trail. Hamstring and upper-body weights.

Nice workout Matt! Great tempo, and that was one fast mile!

I had to hit the big red stop button in the middle of my run tonight, too.

I should have called you about a pm run. I started about 4:45 in provo. Surprised I didn't see you. Very nice double and great work on the tempo :)!

That last mile made up for the pit stop!

Great workout Matt! That speed could come in handy at the Sugarhouse Carnival Relays this weekend. The best comparison is the Penn Relays.

Fritz, the Sugarhouse Carnival Relays sound like a lot of fun! Unfortunately, I'm out of town at a conference this weekend :( Even the Penn Relays pale in comparison to the Sugarhouse Relays.
