10 miles easy from Scott's home with Chad and Scott. Snail pace. First couple miles were over 9 min/mile. We broke 8 min for the last mile (7:50). I am in no position to go faster. My legs haven't been this thrashed in a long time.

Dude, nice to know that you are human. How did you even run today with blisters the size of the moon on your feet?! jk, nice run with Scott and Chad. See ya tomorrow...

I'm a bit late to comment on your report from this weekend, so I'll send my congrats here. Two strong races. Serious comeback!

Sounds like you guys hit it hard and the recovery pace was a smart pace for the day.

I was trying to find a video to send you to see how you were lacing your shoes and to see how much room you have up front. I think at least a thumb width is pretty good. I know Sage Canaday has never run a marathon without loosing a toenail, so it's possible people just deal with these sorts of issues, but I wonder if your blisters are from heel slipping (especially on those Utah downhills). I use the technique in this video and it really keeps the heel in place:

Most people don't think much about lacing, but I am pretty sure it was a contributing factor to my Morton's neuroma a few years ago.

It was awesome seeing you flying down the road at the race. Keep it up.

Thanks guys!

Angie: Poulsen? How cool is that! I agree - it's not very often I meet another person with a last name spelled exactly like mine.

Thanks for the great advice, Jason!

Thanks, Jacob and Spencer.
