| Just a so-so race for me. I feel like I'm in better shape than last year, so I expected a better time today than I ran last year. It wasn't to be. I didn't feel great today. Still tried to hang in there, and ran Ok. I was with Brett Hales and Jason Holt for ~ 3 miles, and then I fell back. I ran the rest of the race solo, which is always difficult. Brett ran an incredible 1:03:33 for the win. He is a half-marathon monster. Jason took 2nd and ran a 1:06:40; he had a good race. Rounding out the top 5, Jacob Howell was 4th (1:08:32), and Mike Nelson took 5th (1:08:40). Other great performances by many!
I've had some good marathon-specific workouts lately. I still feel I'm getting in good marathon shape. But, apparently, these workouts haven't translated into half-marathon shape :) I'm not thrilled about that, but I'm Ok with it. I've got work to do.
