Fun race. Exremely brutal headwind -- for the entire race (a storm was blowing in). This is probably the most difficult wind I've ever raced in. I've raced many times in wind, but usually you only have to deal with wind for half the race (because all the turns usually even out).  However, for this race, there was a very difficult headwind the entire time. The rough conditions made for a much slower time than last year, but as always this is a beautiful, fun, and well-organized race. Other than briefly at the beginning, I ran solo the whole time.  Therefore, there was no need to live on the red line today. My legs are definitely not recovered from the marathon. They are thrashed, and they were thrashed even starting at mile 5.

The wind was always my weakness. You kicked some butt today. Good race.

nice job defending your title. The winds down there can definitely be brutal.

Well done Matt. A win is a win! Too bad the storm wasn't coming in from the north, then rather than +5 you'd be -5, right where I though you should be :)

Congratulations on defending your title Matt! A win is a win. Funny that Jen did not even mention the wind...she is so on fire right now.

Congrats. That was a tough wind. I wondered if most had slower times vs prev years. Nice win!
